Hello, my name is James Walker. I am married to the beautiful Angela Walker, and we have four children. Angela and I live and work here in Bay County, Florida. Angela is a teacher for preschool aged children and has excelled in this area, helping many disadvantaged children learn life skills and provide them with hope for the future. She is also the Planner and Logistics Coordinator for the Solar Business, a full-time mom, steadfast volunteer in our church, and small group leader. Some say my wife is the brains behind the operation, and as long as I do what she says, things will be fine.
I came here in 1992 and have lived here in Panama City for 28 years. In 1992, I began my Air Force career as an F15 Avionics Technician (Radar, Communications Systems, Flight Controls, Krypto Communications), fresh out of Avionics and Computer School at Lowry AFB, Denver, Colorado at the Age of 19. At the age of 21, I opened my first car stereo shop, Walker’s Audio and Security, which later changed to Jazzy’s Car Stereo after the birth of my first daughter, Jasmyne. Shortly after opening the shop, I decided to end my Air Force career in order to pursue my new career in the business world and was honorably discharged.
After a number of years in the stereo business, I quickly became interested in Green Energy (circa 2001). As a result, I attended the Florida Solar Energy Center in Cocoa Beach a few years later and graduated at the top of my class. While I was there, I earned my Solar Installers Certificate.
“The Solar Guy” was created and is owned by the parent corporation of Jazzy’s Inc under the umbrella of green energy. While pursuing solar I also became very interested in compressed natural gas. While studying natural gas and its benefits at Tallahassee Community College, I received my CNG Certified Installer Certification from CNG United. In 2015, I built the first CNG filling station for motor vehicles to ever be opened in Bay County, Florida. Soon after opening, we were the first to fill the brand new CNG Garbage Trucks newly purchased by the City of Panama City. We filled these trucks for several weeks until the city built their own filling station.
My education and experience in the solar industry continues to grow every day. I was surprised to see the interest in solar energy slow to a snail’s pace. I have continued my quest to provide and educate the community about the benefits of solar energy production. I have designed systems for the Community of Lake Butler, Florida as large as 1.1 megawatts. Our team designed systems for the former Agricenter in Blountstown, Florida in excess of 100 kilowatts; and built residential systems ranging from 1000 watts to 15,000 watts. We create blueprints for both grid-tied and off-grid homes, as well as battery-backup and battery-based systems. That’s right, NO POWER BILL.
In our quest to grow and better serve Bay County and the surrounding communities, we decided to officially title our solar business, “All Pros Solar, LLC,” a name that says exactly who we are and what we do best.
